# Finding records using the Universal Quick Search

## The Universal Quick Search feature in the main menu allows you to search for any Company, Client, Candidate, Vacancy, or Placement record and open it directly from the search results.

- To use this search, select the '**Quick Search**' magnifying glass icon in the main menu.

- Enter the search criteria - in this case Darren - the list will expand to include all relevant search results.
- Click the correct individual record if it appears in the list to open it or click the '**View All Results**' to see further options.
- The '**View All Results**' will list a summary of details for you to better identify the correct record you want to pull up.
- You can use the **checkboxes to filter** the record types to further refine your results.
