# Automated Email Campaign Tips

**Setting up release timings**

When pressing Start on a Mail Campaign the first email will be be released to the basket of records.

Where you enter the release time, whether that is minutes, hours, or days, it will release the next mail is sent. For example, the release time next to Mail 1 template is set to 2 Hours meaning the second mail will be released 2 hours after the first.

**Setting up events**

When events are set up and the selected events happen in relation to a record in the basket, the mails will stop being sent to that record.

For example, if The email is replied to is checked, and the recipient replies to the email they will not receive any of the other emails from the campaign.

**Adding records to a** **campaign that has started**

When adding a record or records to a basket where the campaign has already been activated and started, they will then start the mail campaign from the beginning. This means that you can have records at different places throughout the campaign.
