Chameleon-i 2 Factor Authentication

In our ever-connected digital world, ensuring your online safety is a shared responsibility, and at Chameleon-i, we take your security seriously. We want to make sure you are aware of the crucial role Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) plays in keeping your Chameleon-i account secure.

Why It Matters - Protecting Your Account:
In today's interconnected world, your online presence is a valuable asset. Whether for personal use or work, your Chameleon-i account holds essential data and confidential information. Here's why it's crucial to protect it:

1. Data Security: Your Chameleon-i account contains sensitive data, including candidate information and business-related details. Protecting this information is vital to safeguard your candidates' privacy and maintain the trust of your clients.

2. Identity Protection: Unauthorised access to your account can lead to identity theft and potentially cause significant harm to your personal and professional reputation.

3. Business Continuity: If your account were to be compromised, it could disrupt your daily operations, leading to potential data loss or service interruptions.

4. Financial Security: A breach can also put your financial information at risk, potentially leading to financial loss or fraudulent activities.

The Power of 2FA - Added Security for Your Account:
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is more than just an extra layer of security; it's your personal guardian for your Chameleon-i account. Here's why 2FA is a powerful defence:

1. Double Protection: 2FA adds an extra step to your login process, requiring both something you know (your password) and something you have (the 6-digit code sent to your mobile). This dual protection significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access.

2. Phishing Resistance: Even if you receive a phishing email, the attacker won't be able to access your account without the 6-digit code, which we'll never ask for in an email. It's your shield against deceptive attempts.

Here's how it works:

1. First-Time Device Login: When you log in from a new device (PC or Laptop), you'll be asked to enter a 6-digit code.

2. Your Mobile Safety: Rest assured, Chameleon-i will never ask for your username or password. Instead, we'll send the 6-digit code to your mobile/cell number stored in your user settings.

3. Device Access for a Month: Once you've successfully entered the code, you'll have access via that device for a month. After a month, the process resets, and you will have to enter a new code.

4. Different Devices: If you log in from a different device, the 2FA process will kick in for your account's safety.

5. Clear your browser cookies:If you clear the cookies on the browser where you are using Chameleon-i you will need to enter a new code.

Action Required - Updated User Mobile/Cell Number!
To make sure you can seamlessly use 2FA and keep your account secure, please verify that your correct mobile/cell number is up-to-date in your Chameleon-i user profile. Without a valid mobile number, you will experience difficulty logging in after this date!
